TORONTO ― Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark Easter Sunday:
“Today, Christians here in Ontario and across the globe will join together to mark Easter Sunday in celebration of the miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ ― a time to reflect on his enduring message of compassion and forgiveness for all.
After a long winter, Easter arrives not only as a celebration of renewal and hope but also as a joyful marker of the changing seasons and fresh beginnings of spring.
Happy Easter, Ontario!

This year will also see Orthodox Christians celebrating Easter today, with Orthodox families and communities gathering to attend the Divine Liturgy, decorate eggs and break the fasting of the Great Lent through a shared feast.
Whether you are spending time in service to your community, gathering with friends and family, or planning an Easter egg hunt for the kids, I want to wish you all a wonderful holiday.
