Premier Ford Shares Greetings on the Beginning of Eid al-Adha

TORONTO ― Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark the beginning of Eid al-Adha:

“Tonight at sunset, as the festival of Eid al-Adha begins, Muslims in Ontario and around the world will gather to celebrate one of the holiest days in the Muslim calendar.

Eid al-Adha is a time to commemorate and reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience and charity. It’s also a chance for the Muslim community to come together and spend time in prayer and reflection with family and loved ones.

Ontario is fortunate to have a diverse and vibrant Muslim community that contributes so much to our province. On behalf of all Ontarians, I wish everyone who is marking the occasion a happy Eid al-Adha.

Eid Mubarak!”
