TORONTO ― Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark the beginning of Ramadan:
“This evening marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, a time for people of Islamic faith to come together to fast, spend time in prayer, reflection, and acts of charitable giving.

We’re so grateful to have such a vibrant Muslim community in our province and will always work to combat Islamophobia and ensure all Ontarians can practice their faith without fear of intimidation or hate.
