Franchise Record Holder and Championship Contributor
Oduro began his professional career with the Honey Badgers in 2022 following his senior season at the University of Detroit Mercy. In his rookie season, he played a key role in helping Brampton capture its first CEBL championship.
Since then, Oduro has established himself as one of the most accomplished players in franchise history, becoming the Honey Badgers’ all-time leader in games played (73), rebounds (429), and blocks (79)—the latter ranking third all-time in CEBL history. He currently sits fourth on the team’s all-time scoring list with 577 points, trailing only Koby McEwen.
Leadership and Impact on and off the Court
“Prince has been an integral part of our franchise since his debut in 2022,” said Honey Badgers General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Jermaine Anderson. “I’ve watched him grow not only into a fantastic player, but into a leader within our organization. His return sets the tone for the culture we’re continuing to build.”
Oduro’s influence has extended beyond statistics, serving as a stabilizing presence through roster changes and transitions as the organization enters what it has described as a new era.
Strong 2025 Bounce-Back Season
After an injury-affected 2024 campaign, Oduro rebounded in 2025, appearing in 23 of 24 games. He averaged 9.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.1 blocks, emerging as one of the Honey Badgers’ most consistent contributors throughout the season.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this new era in Brampton,” Oduro said. “We’ve made the necessary changes and steps forward we need to be great. We’re going to approach every practice, possession, and game with a championship standard.”
International Experience and Professional Growth
Outside of the CEBL, Oduro has built an extensive international résumé, competing professionally in Hungary, Italy, Germany, and Finland. His first overseas campaign came with Korihait Uusikaupunki, where he averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and logged seven double-doubles across 32 games.
Assistant GM Praises Character and Energy
“After competing against Prince this past season, I am looking forward to being on the same sideline,” said Honey Badgers Assistant General Manager John Ross. “Prince is the kind of high-energy, high-character player and person that we want to build with.”
Collegiate Career and Personal Achievements
Before turning professional, Oduro played collegiately at Mississippi State University, University of South Florida, and Siena College, appearing in 75 games over four seasons.
He also made history at First Love Christian Academy, becoming the first player in program history to sign with an NCAA Division I program.
Off the court, Oduro is an accomplished writer and published a poetry collection titled Havoc Files in 2022.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
Oduro’s return marks the first step of the Honey Badgers’ 2026 offseason. Brampton will open the season with two home games at the CAA Centre on Friday, May 15 against the Ottawa BlackJacks, followed by a matchup with the Calgary Surge on Sunday, May 17.
