TORONTO, Sept. 25, 2017 /CNW/ – PwC Canada announced today that it is now accepting applications for the 2018 PwC Vision to Reality (V2R) Awards. This year’s awards program is open to organizations of all sizes, across all industries and sectors whose innovative ideas have added value to people, business or society. Organizations can submit their application until December 22, 2017.
“What makes this program unique is that it is open to organizations across the entirety of the Canadian business ecosystem, not just technology companies,” says Tahir Ayub, Managing Partner, Markets and Industries, PwC Canada. “Innovation can be found in small to large companies who are working towards being more competitive or serving the public. V2R Awards is here to celebrate innovation and business transformation.”
This year, PwC Canada introduced a new award category, the accelerator, that recognizes innovation in public sector organizations. In addition to this new category, PwC Canada will recognize innovation in three other categories.
The visionary: Awarded to a small organization or a start-up with CA$0–50M in revenue, including pre-revenue. Innovation in this category can be defined as a new idea that’s adding value to people, business or society.
The builder: Awarded to a mid-size organization with CA$51M–1B in revenue, privately held or publicly traded. Innovation in this category can be defined as a new idea that’s adding value to people, business or society.
The reinventor: Awarded to a large enterprise with CA$1B+ in revenue, are privately held or publicly traded. Innovation in this category can be defined as an initiative that has transformed the way your organization operates or interacts with customers to support the overall strategy and pave the way for future success.
The accelerator: Awarded to a public sector organization of any size. Innovation in this category can be defined as a progressive initiative that’s making an impactful contribution to Canadian citizens.
Finalists will be announced in early spring 2018 and four winners will be awarded a 2018 PwC Vision to Reality (V2R) Awards in Toronto in May 2018.
