It’s hard to believe that we are only a few days away from Sunday’s closing ceremonies and that the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics are almost over.  Friday saw our amazing Canadians add an impressive FOUR medals to Team Canada’s total which puts us in THIRD on the overall medals haul list, with a total of 24 medals.  Two events remain in the games, Pairs Figure Skating and Bobsleigh….let’s see if Canada can add anymore medals tomorrow!

Here is a RECAP of Friday at the Olympics for Canada!

***Defending Olympic champion Cassie Sharpe of British Columbia soared to a SILVER medal in the Women’s Freeski Halfpipe Final. This was Canada’s best medal of the day, and an awesome accomplishment for Sharpe who came back from knee surgery after she tore her ACL and MCL at the X Games only a short year ago. Her teammate, the 2021 world championship silver medalist Rachael Karker of Ontario claimed the BRONZE medal in the same event. How wonderful to have the red and white on the podium twice!
