RED BULL RACES FOR CO-OWNER DIETRICH MATESCHITZ WHO DIED AT 78

Good day and a Big Howdy! from Austin, Texas. We are back at the USA Grand Prix where everything is bigger and better. The crowds have exceeded last year’s attendance by well over 400,000 thousand F1 fans and racing enthusiasts. Many Red Bull Racing and Mexican flags were flying around for their racing hero Sergio Perez.

Tail winds were strong today, so all drivers had to be on their A-game.

Practice 3 (FP3)

We saw in FP3 Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing (1.35.825) lead all drivers. Rounding out the top five was Leclerc of Ferrari with a time of 1.36.145, Sainz of Ferrari with a time of 1.36.271, Perez with a time of 1.36.397 and Hamilton of Mercedes finish with a time of 1.36.401.

Qualifying (Q1, Q2 & Q3)

Qualifying is known as Q1, Q2 and Q3. On the grid we saw Schumacher, Magnussen, Ocon, Latifi and Ricciardo eliminated in Q1.

In Q2 we saw drivers Gasly, Albon, Zhou, Vettel and Tsunoda eliminated.

Top tailwind was a significant factor in Q3 as Ferrari machinery had their finest laps to take P1 and P2 on the grid for Race Day Sunday.

Rounding out the top five for the race on Sunday we have Sainz taking P1 with a time of 1:34.356, Leclerc in P2 +0.065, Verstappen in P3 +0.092, Perez in P4 +0.289 and Hamilton in P5 +0.591.

The motorsport world, Formula 1 Racing and Red Bull Racing have lost an iconic member. Austrian businessman and co-owner of Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz has died at the age of 78.
