Registration for the City of Toronto’s summer recreation programs starts tomorrow at 7 a.m. for programs that begin on Tuesday, July 4 and run until Friday, September 1. Registration starts on:
• Tuesday, June 6 – Etobicoke York (including York South-Weston), Toronto and East York.
• Wednesday, June 7 – North York and Scarborough.
To help residents prepare for registration, the City has extended the call centre customer service hours today, Monday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. On registration days (June 6 and 7), clients can register by phone by calling 416-396-7378 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The easiest and fastest way to register is on the City’s Summer Recreation Programs webpage www.toronto.ca/SummerRec. For in-person registration support, five community centre locations will be open on the following dates from 7 a.m. to noon:
• June 6
o Driftwood Community Recreation Centre, 4401 Jane St.
o Masaryk-Cowan Community Recreation Centre, 220 Cowan Ave.
o Wellesley Community Centre, 495 Sherbourne St.
• June 7
o Centennial Recreation Centre, 1967 Ellesmere Rd.
o Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre, 29 St. Dennis Dr.
The City is the largest provider of recreation programs for people of all ages, skill levels and interests. The City offers approximately 6,900 registered courses this summer, with close to 55,000 spaces, including arts and crafts, fitness, general interest, sports and swimming. Programs include drama, guitar, web design, outdoor walk fit, and more.
After-school recreation
Registration for the 2023/2024 after-school recreation will begin on Friday, June 9. Programs for the 2023/2024 school year will run from Tuesday, September 5, 2023, to Friday, June 21, 2024. Welcome Policy yearly credit
The Welcome Policy yearly credit can be used to register for City recreation programs, including CampTO. Those residing in Toronto and receiving social assistance (Ontario Works) are pre-approved to receive this credit and should speak to their caseworker or apply online. Toronto residents with a before-tax total family income below the low-income cut-off (LICO) threshold may also apply for the Welcome Policy by visiting the City’s Welcome Policy webpage: www.toronto.ca/wp.
Discounts for older adults
Participants 60 years of age and older receive a 50 per cent discount on the regular price of adult recreation programs, excluding private, semi-private and small group lessons.
