Shop And Vax 2.0 COVID-19 vaccination clinics to offer first and second vaccination doses

#ShopAndVax

This weekend, clinics across Toronto will be offering first and second COVID-19 vaccination doses at local malls and shopping centres as part of Shop And Vax 2.0.
Team Toronto has joined forces with Cadillac Fairview, No Frills, Primaris, Rexall, Rio Can, Shoppers Drug Mart, Smart Centres, The Sitzer Group, Walmart and Westdale Properties to make COVID-19 vaccines easily accessible at malls and pharmacies throughout the city on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17. Appointments are not required.

Shop And Vax 2.0 expands on the first Shop And Vax vaccination push, when more than 1,100 doses were administered over the September 24 and 25 weekend, by featuring pop-up clinics in local plazas and malls. This weekend’s campaign highlights 24 clinics across the city, selected by Toronto Public Health as part of the Team Toronto Mobile Strategy data approach aimed to continue removing barriers and bringing vaccines to residents in areas and settings with low vaccination rates and to residents who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19.

A full list of clinic locations and hours can be found on the City’s COVID-19: How to Get Vaccinated webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/?accordion=shopandvax2-clinics.

More than 82 per cent of eligible Toronto residents are now fully vaccinated and 86.6 per cent have received at least their first dose.

Team Toronto and all our community and business partners work together to cover every part of the city, every day of the week. We’ve done so well with more than 82 per cent of Toronto residents fully vaccinated. Shop And Vax 2.0 is just one example of how we are making it as easy as possible for Torontonians to get their first or second dose, which will keep this city safe and thriving.”
