MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads are set to host their New School Night game at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Sunday January 15th at 2:00 PM against the Barrie Colts. The Steelheads will be welcoming the next generations of hockey fans as seven kids will get the opportunity to go behind the scenes and experience the fundamentals of a hockey team.
There will be SEVEN different positions available for the next wave of kids to be a part of during the New-School Night:
- Warm-Up Coach: Make sure to look your best as you will be standing with the Steelheads coaches on the bench during warm-up while making sure the players are ready for the game!
- PA Announcer: Do you like your voice to be heard? Your voice can be heard throughout the arena as you announce goals, penalties and more!
- DJ/Goal Horn Operator: Do you have a passion for music and entertaining the crowd? Become our DJ and Goal Horn Operator for the game!
- Social Media Side-Kick: Do you like to post on social media and enjoy what you see on our Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Tiktok? You can become the Social Media Side-Kick and connect with our fans throughout the game!
- Junior Reporter: Are you the next great hockey reporter? Become our Junior Reporter and help keep our fans updated with a pre-game and post-game hit about all the Steelheads news!
- Junior In-Game Host: Do you like being in front of a camera? Join our In-Game host to help with all our game day activities and contests!
- Junior Radio Announcer: Join our radio team to call the game with play-by-play reports and explain your thoughts about the game during the intermission!
