BRAMPTON β€” The Brampton Steelheads are skating into the 2025–26 OHL season with a full slate of matchups, fan-favourite theme nights, and exciting new promotions aimed at energizing the local hockey community. The team officially released its full regular season schedule in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League on Monday, highlighting key games and events that promise to make this season one to remember at the CAA Centre.

The Steelheads open the campaign on the road against the Peterborough Petes before returning to Brampton for a primetime Friday night matchup against the Niagara IceDogs on September 19 at 7:00 PM.


Promotions and Theme Nights Return β€” and Expand

The 2025–26 calendar brings back several fan-favourite promotions including:

  • Teddy Bear Toss

  • Pink at the Rink

  • Pucks N Paws

  • Family Day Game

  • Holiday and New Year’s Eve matchups

Following the success of two sold-out school day games last season, Brampton will once again welcome local students for morning matchups:

  • Wednesday, December 3 vs. Guelph Storm at 11:00 AM

  • Wednesday, March 4 vs. Barrie Colts at 11:00 AM

Adding to the excitement, the team introduces a new Camp Day Game during March Break:

  • Tuesday, March 17 vs. Sudbury Wolves at 12:30 PM

The season concludes on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 PM against the Brantford Bulldogs with the Steelheads’ Fan Appreciation Game.


Schedule Breakdown

The 68-game season retains its unbalanced format, with teams meeting out-of-conference opponents at least twice and divisional rivals up to six times. Fans can look forward to:

  • Longest Home Stand: 5 games (Nov. 28 – Dec. 6)

  • Longest Road Stretch: 4 games (Jan. 18 – Jan. 30)

  • Four 3-in-3 weekends

  • Busiest Home Month: December (7 home games)

  • Most Active Days: Fridays (13 home, 11 road)

The last home game before the holiday break is set for Friday, December 20 vs. Kingston Frontenacs, with action resuming on Monday, December 29 vs. Niagara IceDogs.
