BRAMPTON – The Brampton Steelheads dropped a 4–2 decision to the Peterborough Petes on Saturday at the CAA Centre, snapping their two-game winning streak.
Brampton answered early pressure with William Eggleton scoring in the final second of the first period, assisted by Manuel Amado and Jakub Fibigr, tying the game 1–1 after a Petes opener from Leon Kolarik.
The Steelheads grabbed momentum just 1:20 into the second period when Kieran Witkowski finished off a setup from MacGregor Richmond and Troy Patton, giving Brampton a 2–1 edge. But Peterborough stormed back with goals from Carson Cameron and Caden Taylor — the latter on the power play — to retake control.
In the third, Francis Parish sealed the win with a late tally at 15:46. Brampton’s offense was limited the rest of the way by Petes goaltender Easton Rye, who made 30 saves for second star honours.
