Team Toronto COVID-19 vaccination update

The City of Toronto is working non-stop with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 2,161,925 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

As of yesterday evening, approximately 740,748 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. This morning at 8 a.m., the City is adding 10,000 new appointments across the City-run immunization clinics at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre and Cloverdale Mall for individuals age 80 and older to book accelerated second dose appointments.

Everyone age 12 years or older is encouraged to book an appointment by clicking the blue “Book a Vaccine” button at www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or through phone by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900. The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccine to the neighbourhoods most in need.

Today, Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy will vaccinate approximately 1,000 people at the following pop-up clinics:
• St. John XXIII Catholic School – Individuals age 12 years and older who live/work/attend school in any “M” postal code (priority access for students age 12 years and older attending St. John XXIII Catholic School, Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute, Valley Park Middle School, Grenoble Public School, Thorncliffe Park Public School, Fraser Mustard Early Learning Academy, Gateway Public School and St. Patrick Catholic School, and their immediate family).
• Danforth Gardens Public School – Individuals age 12 years and older who live/work/attend school in any “M” postal code (priority access for students age 12 years and older attending Danforth Gardens Public School, J.G. Workman Public School, St. Joachim Catholic School, Taylor Creek Public School, SATEC @ W.A. Porter Collegiate Institute, General Brock Public School and Birchmount Collegiate Institute, and their immediate family).
The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 23 clinics today, including mobile teams, on-site and pop-up clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.

City of Toronto immunization clinics
•       Today, will hold nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
•       Will vaccinate up to 8,645 eligible residents.

Unity Health Toronto, Downtown East Toronto OHT and West Toronto OHT
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and two pop-up clinics.
• Will vaccinate 1,526 people who are priority hospital and community based healthcare workers, homebound adults, members of the Indigenous community, and people who are 12 years of age and older.

• Will vaccinate 200 people who are homebound patients.

• Today, will hold two pop-up clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,000 people who are age 12 years and older.

• Today, will hold four on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 3,350 people who are age 12 years and older who live/work in Scarborough.

• Today, will hold one pop-up clinic.
• Will vaccinate 1,500 people who are age 12 years and older and health care workers receiving second doses.
