Team Toronto COVID-19 vaccination update

The City of Toronto is working non-stop with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 3,425,588 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto as part of the overall Team Toronto initiative. As of yesterday evening, approximately 812,061 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-operated clinic.

Everyone age 12 years or older is encouraged to book their vaccination appointment as soon as possible. Second dose appointments can be booked by anyone, including youth age 12 to 17, who received a first Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 28 days ago or a first AstraZeneca vaccine at least eight weeks ago. Vaccinations at City clinics are by appointment only and walk-in clients cannot be accommodated. Anyone who cannot attend a scheduled appointment is urged to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible to allow others to book. The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccines to the neighbourhoods most in need.

Today, a Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy partner will vaccinate 1,950 people at the following pop-up clinic:

• David and Mary Thomson CI (M1P) – Anyone 12 years and older (first dose) living or working in Scarborough; Anyone 18 years and older (second dose) who lives in a high-risk Scarborough neighborhood
• St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (M1T) – Anyone 12 years and older living, working, or attending school in Scarborough (first dose); Anyone 12 years and older living, working, or attending school in Delta Variant Hotspots (second dose)
• Toronto Zoo (M1B) – Anyone 12 years and older who work at the Toronto Zoo (first and second doses)
• Warden Hilltop Community Centre (M1B, M1G, M1J, M1K, M1L, M1R, M1S, M2R, M3J, M3K, M3L, M3M, M3N, M4A, M4H, M6M, M6N, M9L, M9M, M9N, M9R, M9V, M9W ) – First and second doses are available to individuals 12 years of age and older on the day of vaccination who live, work, or attend school in any “M” postal code.

The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 47 clinics today, including mobile teams, on-site and pop-up clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.

City of Toronto immunization clinics
• Today, will vaccinate up to 17,763 eligible residents across nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
Unity Health Toronto, Downtown East Toronto OHT and West Toronto OHT
• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics, two mobile clinics, and five pop-up clinics.
•Vaccinated people who are hospital and community-based healthcare workers, homebound adults, Indigenous peoples, individuals age 12 years and older, and those eligible for a second dose.
• Today, will hold three on-site clinics, two mobile clinics and six pop-up clinics.
• Will vaccinate people belonging to the same groups.

• Yesterday, held three on-site clinics, and three mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 3,029 people who are healthcare workers and students, long-term care staff, essential caregivers, patients with priority health conditions, Indigenous peoples, and people age 12 years and older.
• Today, will hold three on-site clinics and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate 3,090 people belonging to the same groups.

• Yesterday, held four primary care clinics, and three mobile clinics.
• Today, will hold two primary care clinics, and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate people age 12 years and older.

• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and three mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 3,900 people who are age 70 years and older or had their first dose before May 30 or live in congregate living.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate 3,800 people belonging to the same groups, as well as priority neighbourhoods.

• Yesterday, held one pop-up clinic, and one mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 2,700 people who are age 12 years and older and seniors receiving first and second doses.
• Today, will hold one pop-up clinic, and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate 1,900 people belonging to the same groups.

• Yesterday, held four on-site clinics and three mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 4,781 people who are age 12 years and older who live or work in Scarborough and who live in congregate settings.
• Today, will hold five on-site clinics and two mobile clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 4,564 people belonging to the same groups above.

CAMH
• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
• Vaccinated 409 people who are 12 years and older with a first dose, people who are 70 years and older with a second dose, as well as those who received their first dose before May 9 with a second dose.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
• Will vaccinate 405 people belonging to the same groups.
