The City continues to work non-stop with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 4,296,433 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto as part of the broader Team Toronto initiative.

Everyone age 12 years or older is encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
First dose vaccinations at City-operated clinics are by walk-in only. All nine City-run clinics are offering walk-in vaccinations for anyone age 12 and older needing a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/c
Second dose appointments are available by walk-in, and can also be booked by anyone, including youth ages 12 to 17, who received a first Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 28 days ago or a first AstraZeneca vaccine at least eight weeks ago. A second dose of vaccine is the best protection against the COVID-19 Delta variant (B.1.617.2) that is more infectious than other strains of the virus. Recent studies have shown that two weeks after the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine, a person’s protection against the Delta variant is 50 per cent higher than one dose alone.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccines to the neighbourhoods most in need.
The Home Stretch Vaccine Push initiatives continue this weekend when Team Toronto is moving its vaccine efforts east to Taylor-Massey, currently among the lowest vaccinated neighbourhoods in the city. Nine micro-targeted pop-up clinics offering primarily Pfizer vaccine to residents age 12 and over will be set up throughout the east-end neighbourhood on the long weekend of July 31. Clinic locations are John’s No Frills, Massey Square, Secord Elementary School, Shoppers World Danforth and Victoria Supermarket. The clinics will feature entertainment and give-aways throughout the day. Hours of operation vary by clinic, some of which will open as early as 10 a.m. and operate at late as 8 p.m.
Today, Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy partners will vaccinate eligible people at the following pop-up clinics:
• David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute – First and second doses for individuals 12 years of age or older and live/work/attend school in Scarborough
• D.A. Morrison Middle School – First and second doses are available for individuals 12 years of age or older on the day of vaccination and live/work/attend school in any “M” postal code.
The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 37 clinics today, including mobile teams, on-site and pop-up clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.
