Team Toronto has reached another milestone in its COVID-19 vaccination campaign, administering 203,521 fourth doses since the beginning of April.

As of June 8, more than 7.1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Toronto. Approximately 92.1 per cent of residents 12 years and older have received their first dose, while more than 89.5 per cent have received their second dose. In addition, more than 66.2 per cent of eligible Toronto residents 18 years and older have also received their third dose. The data is available to be viewed on the City’s COVID-19: Vaccine Data webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-pandemic-data/covid-19-vaccine-data/.

Toronto Public Health (TPH) continues to work closely with Team Toronto partners to offer hyper-local COVID-19 vaccine opportunities in areas where residents live, work and play. TPH and Team Toronto continue to focus on bringing vaccination opportunities to residents in neighbourhoods with low vaccine uptake. The following mobile clinics are being held this weekend in Toronto’s northwest neighbourhoods:
•       Lawrence Allen Centre, 700 Lawrence Ave. W., Fridays, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
•       Chalkfarm Community Centre, 180 Chalkfarm Dr., Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
•       Rexdale Community Hub, 21 Panorama Ct., Mondays and Tuesdays, 12:30 to 6:45 p.m.; Wednesdays to Sundays until June 19, 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
•       Thistletown Community Centre, 925 Albion Rd., Saturdays, 1 to 5 p.m.

Clinics will operate by appointment or walk-in to provide first, second, third, fourth and paediatric doses of COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents. An Ontario health card is not required. Clinic information, including location addresses and hours of operation, is available on the City’s COVID-19: Where to Get Vaccinated webpage:  www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-how-to-get-vaccinated/.

First, second, third and fourth doses continue to be available to residents by appointment or walk-in across the six City immunization clinics. Residents can also get their doses at more than 525 local pharmacies that are offering the COVID-19 vaccine, Indigenous-led vaccination clinics, select primary care offices and other Team Toronto health care partner clinics.

TPH encourages residents to receive all of their eligible COVID-19 doses, including booster doses, for the best protection against serious illness linked to this virus. Data shows that residents who have received all of their eligible COVID-19 doses on time were better protected against serious consequences linked to the virus, when compared to those who were unvaccinated or under vaccinated.

As COVID-19 continues to circulate in the community, residents are encouraged to practice public health measures including getting vaccinated; wearing a high-quality, well-fitting mask, especially indoors and based on the setting and situation; and staying home if feeling unwell. More information is available on the City’s COVID-19: Reduce Virus Spread Guide webpage: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/covid-19-reduce-virus-spread/.
