The weekend is here and Team Toronto is ready to vaccinate residents in need of a first, second or third dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Thousands of residents will get vaccinated against COVID-19 this weekend, joining the millions of residents who have already been vaccinated. More than 90 per cent of Toronto residents now have at least one vaccine dose against COVID-19; more than 87 per cent have two doses; and more than 53 per cent of eligible residents now have their third dose to help combat the Omicron variant.
The City of Toronto continues to urge all residents to get vaccinated as soon as possible. From now through early February, thousands of appointments remain available at City-run clinics.
Tomorrow, January 23, hundreds of Northwest Toronto residents are heading out to Vax The Northwest – a mass vaccination event at York University’s Aviva Centre focused on vaccinating people from neighbourhoods experiencing lower vaccination rates. With capacity to administer more than 1,000 vaccinations, this one-day event is an excellent opportunity for residents to protect their communities, loved ones and themselves by getting vaccinated.

Our fight against COVID-19 and its variants isn’t over. Toronto Public Health reminds residents that the Omicron variant continues to spread and the urgent need for those eligible to receive a third dose of vaccine remains. Any residents who have not yet received their first or second COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. COVID-19 vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death, while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community.
Today, Team Toronto partners will administer thousands of vaccines at City-run clinics, hospital partner clinics, more than 525 local pharmacies and doctors’ offices, including the following clinic locations:
City-run immunization clinics
The five City-run immunization clinics continue to add new appointments for first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. To book an appointment, click the blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 or call 1-833-943-3900. City-run clinics are easily accessible by transit and offer free parking on site. Clinic staff are also able to provide resources in multiple languages. A person with a vaccination appointment can also bring a support person to help with translation.
While City-run clinics and health care partners across the province await further shipments of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine later this month, all City of Toronto-run clinics will administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to residents 30 years of age and older.
People with vaccination appointments are asked to arrive no more than 10 minutes early to vaccination clinics. Residents should also continue to follow public health measures such as mask wearing, good hand hygiene and physical distancing.
