The City of Toronto’s Summer CampTO registration opens tomorrow

Summer CampTO

City-wide registration for CampTO will open tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12 at 7 a.m. CampTO programs will be offered in neighbourhoods across Toronto beginning Monday, July 4 and will run until Friday, September 2.

CampTO will run for nine weeks for children and youth between the ages of four and 16, at locations across the city. The City of Toronto will offer traditional day camp experiences, including active games, dance, drama, music, arts and crafts, in addition to indoor, outdoor and nature-based activities.

Adapted and inclusive programs for participants with disabilities will also be available. The City will also offer CampTO Plus, in-person specialty camps at community centres and museums, which focus on a particular interest or skill such as arts, creative writing, a variety of sports, nature, drama, dance, science, French immersion and more. Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) programs will resume this year providing participants between 13 and 17 years an introduction to the fundamentals of being a City Camp Counsellor. Participants will learn about program planning and working with campers in an interactive environment and experience a supervised practical placement in a City summer camp.

In total, this summer the City will offer approximately 78,050 spaces for CampTO, including adapted programs and CampTO Plus. Residents can visit the City’s CampTO webpage for program and registration information at www.toronto.ca/camps.

The quickest and easiest way to register is online (www.toronto.ca/camps). Phone registration will also be available at 416-396-7378, beginning at 7 a.m. on April 12. There will be extended call centre hours on Monday April 11 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. to help customers in advance of registration.
