Toronto Blue Jays Fall to the Seattle Mariners 1 – 2

The Toronto Blue Jays were facing the Seattle Mariners on Saturday for game 3 of their 4 game set.  The Blue Jays have a .517 winning percentage on the season winning 45 games and losing 41.

They were 4th place in their division and 6th in the American League heading into this game.

On the mound starting for the Mariners was former Blue Jays pitcher Robbie Ray.

Alek Manoah started on the mound for the Blue Jays.

Springer was the first to get on the board with a solo homerun, his 16th home run of the season, to give the Blue Jays a 1 – 0 lead in the top of the 6th.

Carlos Santana hit his first homerun as a Mariner and gave Seattle a 2 – 1 lead over the Jays in the bottom of the 7th inning.

That was it, after a strong 8 inning performance by Alek Manoah, the Blue Jays lost to the Seattle Mariners.  For the 1st time since 2018 the Seattle Mariners have won 7 games in a row.
