In a statement posted to the Toronto Blue Jays official Twitter account, the team announced that they have relieved head coach Charlie Montoyo of his duty.
The change in coaching staff comes after the Blue Jays have been on a downward streak losing 8 of their last 10 games.
Blue Jays bench coach John Schneider has been named interim manager and Casey Candaele has been appointed in term bench coach.
