Toronto Blue Jays Get Swept by the Seattle Mariners, Lose 5 – 6

The Toronto Blue Jays were facing the Seattle Mariners for game 4 of their series on Sunday night.  They were playing on the road in Seattle with a 10 pm Eastern start time.

Going into this one, the Jays were 0 – 3 in this series and faced being swept by the Mariners.

George Springer took the first pitch of the game and drove it to left scoring a solo homerun and putting the Jays on the board early in the game.

On the mound starting for the Blue Jays was pitcher Max Castillo.

Carlos Santana hit a line drive home run off Max Castillo for his 6th of the season tying the game.

Tapia hit a solo homerun in the top of the 4th to put the Blue Jays up 2 – 1.

A two run single by Bo Bichette in the 5th put the Jays up 4 – 1. The Mariners added 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 5th, cutting the lead and bringing them to within a run with the score 4 – 3.

Carlos Santana tied the game for Seattle coming home off a sacrifice fly ball hit by Cal Raleigh.

Bo Bichette hit a solo homerun in the 7th inning to put the Blue Jays back up by a run and give them the 5 – 4 lead.

Carlos Santana put the game away for the Mariners, hitting a 2 run homer, his second of the game. Giving Seattle a 6 – 5 lead over the Blue Jays.
