Toronto Public Health hosting Easter Parade COVID-19 vaccination clinic

Easter Parade COVID-19 vaccination

This Sunday, Toronto Public Health (TPH) is partnering with the Toronto Beaches Lions Easter Parade and Toronto Fire Services to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic along this year’s Easter Parade route, allowing parade-goers to hop to getting vaccinated while taking in the festivities. The clinic is part of Team Toronto’s continuing efforts to bring COVID-19 vaccination opportunities to places residents live, work and play – including major events in the city.

This family-friendly clinic will be located at the historic Toronto Fire Station 227 at 1904 Queen St. E. It will provide first, second, third, fourth and children’s COVID-19 doses to eligible residents age five and up on Sunday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic will operate on a walk-in basis, with no appointments or a health card required. Pfizer and Moderna will be offered by TPH nurses who will also answer COVID-19 and vaccine-related questions.

Parade attendees can also find a pharmacy along the parade route to get a COVID-19 vaccine by using the provincial webpage: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations.

All eligible residents are encouraged to get their third and fourth dose as soon as possible. As with vaccines for other diseases, you are protected best when you stay up to date. COVID-19 vaccines have been scientifically proven to lower the risk of illness, hospitalization and death while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community, and residents with three doses had the lowest rates of hospitalization, ICU and death over any other level of vaccination.
