Toronto Public Health’s free flu vaccination clinics start tomorrow

Toronto Public Health is hosting a media event tomorrow to launch the City of Toronto’s fall flu vaccine clinics and remind residents that getting a flu shot is the best way to protect themselves from influenza.

Date: Friday, October 27
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge St.

Photo and interview opportunities will be available with Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Eileen de Villa, who will be on hand to talk about:

• the importance of immunization 
• tips to reduce the risk of getting the flu, and
• locations of the City’s flu vaccine clinics.

Councillor Joe Mihevc (Ward 21 St. Paul’s), Chair of the Toronto Board of Health, and Councillor Sarah Doucette (Ward 13 Parkdale–High Park) will receive their flu shot with Dr. de Villa during the event.
