Toronto Raptors beat the Denver Nuggets 127-115

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam

The Toronto Raptors beat the Denver Nuggets 127-115 on the road in Denver.  The team was playing back to back games coming off a win in Phoenix last night.  The Raptors were without 2 of their starters.  Fred VanVleet and O.G Anunoby were both out due to injury.  The Phoenix Suns were without Chris Paul.  The 2 teams battled hard throughout the game but it was the Raptors who came out with the victory at the end.

Scottie Barnes

Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes had another impressive game scoring 25 points, with 10 assists and 8 rebounds.  The rookie looked very comfortable on the floor making his shots and finding open teammates for the pass when needed.  The Raptors rookie is in the race for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year Award.  He continues to leave his mark on the league and show the NBA he is worthy of such an award.

Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam had 33 points 7 assists and 5 rebounds in the win.

Speaking in a post game interview, when asked what the last 2 wins says about the team, the Raptors forward said;

“We have 16 or 17 games left, these games are important. We got to come in with a focus and intensity and we know that when we do that we always give ourselves a chance to be in the game against any team.”

Chris Boucher

Chris Boucher scored 21 points with 13 rebounds and 4 blks.  Checkout his post game interview below.

The Raptors next game is on Monday March 14, 2022 in California against the Los Angeles Lakers.
