VAUGHAN, ON — Vaughan’s inaugural Festa d’Italia drew thousands of attendees on Sunday, June 1, 2025, as residents gathered at Boyd Conservation Park to celebrate Italian heritage with live music, delicious food, and a full day of cultural festivities.

The free, city-organized event ran from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and transformed the park into a vibrant hub of Italian pride. Headlining the main stage was the legendary Italian pop band I Cugini di Campagna, whose performance had the crowd singing along to classic hits. From traditional dance troupes to modern music acts, the entertainment lineup kept the energy high throughout the day.

The family-friendly celebration included a marketplace with local vendors, a food zone offering authentic Italian cuisine, and interactive activities for all ages. Children enjoyed games and crafts, while adults mingled at sponsor booths and explored artisanal offerings.

In a nod to accessibility, the City of Vaughan offered free shuttle service from several community hubs across the city, helping reduce traffic and making it easier for families to participate. Free parking was available at most shuttle pickup locations, while on-site support ensured a smooth experience for attendees.

The event was made possible thanks to presenting sponsor Pizza Nova, along with major supporters such as LiUNA! Local 183, Forest Group, Greenpark Group, and Primont Homes. The festivities were part of the Vaughan Celebrates series and featured performances, giveaways, and sponsor activations throughout the park.

As one of the most culturally significant new events in Vaughan, Festa d’Italia is already being hailed as an annual tradition in the making.
