TORONTO – April kicks off with a fresh slate of cinematic stories, new streaming sensations, and a post-JUNOs buzz in the air. Whether you’re headed to the theatre or staying in for a binge, here’s what to watch this week in the GTA.

In Theatres This Week

Here’s what’s new and trending in Toronto cinemas:

🎬 New Releases – April 4, 2025:

  • “A Minecraft Movie” – Jason Momoa and Jack Black star in this live-action adventure based on the beloved video game. Expect pixelated peril and heartwarming teamwork in a family-friendly blockbuster.
  • “Freaky Tales” – Pedro Pascal leads this gritty 1980s anthology drama set in Oakland. Interwoven stories of love, rebellion, and survival make this a standout indie release.

Post-JUNOs Recap
