Colours of Love International Concert

Featuring guest artists from around the world in a celebration of love and diversity, the concert  has become a mainstay on the GTA arts scene.

Six artists will be featured this year, including award-winning pianist and songwriter Vivian Fang  Liu, Trinidadian Chutney Soca and Bollywood singer Raymond Ramnarine, Polish-Canadian  singer songwriter Ilona Urbaniak, Juno award-winning singer Kirk Diamond, dancer Dora Paszuk,  and Zlata Barchuk, a six year old Ukrainian singer whose lyrics and songs have been moving audiences around the world.

“Music is the universal language that binds us all together regardless of our differences,” says  Maggie Habieda, founder of the Colours of Love International Concert series and owner of  Fotografia Boutique, Oakville’s premier portrait studio. “The concert is an opportunity to spread

love and diversity through performing arts at a time when the world needs to come together  more than ever.”

It’s an incredibly powerful message that has resonated with audiences who have come out in  support of the concert series, and as the world struggles with fallout from two years of  lockdowns and a pandemic that has swept the world, this year’s concert has taken on added  importance.

“Love is an incredibly powerful thing that brings out the best in each of us. We are blessed in  Canada to live in a country that has opened its arms to people from the around, and at a time  when the world can seem more focused on our differences rather than what brings us together,  this event is a unique opportunity to celebrate the human spirit and the power of pure,  unconditional love.” says Habieda

This year’s concert will also be raising funds for the Mississauga Arts Council, in support of art  and art culture within the Mississauga area.
