As the golfing season approaches, residents of Mississauga are gearing up to take advantage of enhanced benefits offered at the city’s renowned golf courses, BraeBen and Lakeview. With the promise of priority booking and discounts, golf enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to hit the greens.

The City of Mississauga has announced that BraeBen Golf Course and Range will open its doors on Friday, April 5, followed by Lakeview Golf Course on Wednesday, April 10. Additionally, the BraeBen 9-Hole Academy will welcome golfers starting Wednesday, April 24.

In an effort to manage demand and cater to the needs of residents, Mississauga has introduced a new resident benefit program. Residents will now have the privilege of accessing priority online bookings for tee times one hour earlier than non-residents, starting at 8 p.m. seven days in advance. To qualify for this benefit, residents must ensure their profiles are updated.

To avail themselves of these benefits, residents are required to present photo identification with proof of address at BraeBen or Lakeview Golf Course Pro Shops from Tuesdays to Saturdays, between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, Mississauga residents will enjoy a 5% discount off their green fees at Lakeview, BraeBen Championship, and BraeBen 9-Hole Academy courses.

“Golf is a sport that brings communities together and promotes physical activity,” said a representative from the City of Mississauga. “We are thrilled to offer enhanced benefits to our residents, making it easier for them to enjoy the outdoors and stay active.”

Both BraeBen and Lakeview golf courses offer a range of amenities for golfers of all skill levels. BraeBen, located in the Heartland community, features an 18-hole Championship Course and a 9-hole Par-3 Academy Course. Lakeview, situated south of QEW, is celebrated for its picturesque landscape and has been designated as an Ontario Heritage site.

In line with environmental initiatives, the City’s golf courses will no longer sell plastic water bottles. Golfers are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and utilize water refilling stations available on-site. Furthermore, both courses have transitioned to cashless transactions, requiring patrons to bring debit or credit cards for transactions.

With spring in full swing, residents are encouraged to book their tee times early and take advantage of the benefits offered by the City of Mississauga. Tee times can be booked online at mississauga.ca/golf.

As the city prepares to welcome golfers for another exciting season, residents are invited to grab their clubs, perfect their swings, and enjoy a day out on the greens.
