Oshawa Generals Lose Game 2 of the 2022 OHL Playoffs, Down 0 – 2 in Series

The Oshawa Generals met up with the Kingston Frontenacs for game 2 of their Eastern Division OHL Playoff series.  The Generals were down 0 – 1 in the series heading into the matchup having lost game 1 in Kingston.

Kingston Frontenacs’ Lucas Edmonds scored the first goal of the game 5:04 minutes into the first period.  Paul Ludwinski scored the 2nd goal of the game and his 3rd goal of the 2022 OHL playoffs.  Jordan Frasca  continued the scoring with the games 3rd goal as the Kingston Frontenac took a commanding 3 goal lead.  The last 5 minutes of the 1st period saw a goaltending change by the Generals removing Patrick Leaver from net and replacing him with Zach Papadakis.

The 2nd period only saw 1 goal scored by Kingston Frontenacs’ Jordan Frasca scoring his 2nd goal of the game extending the Frontenacs lead to 4 – 0.

Dawson Mckinney finally scored for Oshawa early in period 3. The Generals went on a run scoring 3 more goals.

At the end of regulation the Kingston Frontenac were to much to handle for the Oshawa Generals as the Generals lost their 2nd straight playoff game by a score of 4 – 6.  Oshawa is now behind in the series 0 – 2.

Suspensions

Cameron Butler was suspended for 2 games and did not play in  game 2 for the Oshawa Generals.  Butler, the only goal scorer for the Generals in game 1, was suspended for slew footing, an incident that took place during game 1.
