TORONTO — Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement in response to the provincial election in Newfoundland and Labrador:
“I would like to congratulate Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball on his re-election last night. I would also like to recognize the leadership and hard work of everyone in the province who stood as candidates and people who participated in the democratic process.
Like Ontario, the economy of Newfoundland and Labrador has a thriving and valuable natural resources sector that provides jobs to thousands of people. I will work with Premier Ball to protect these jobs and make sure our products get to market.
I look forward to working with Premier Ball on all issues of shared interest, like growing interprovincial trade and investment, cutting red tape and making our provinces open for business and open for jobs.”
