Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with Mayor of Winnipeg Brian Bowman

Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with the Mayor of Winnipeg, Brian Bowman, to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prime Minister and the Mayor spoke about current challenges in Winnipeg related to the third wave, rising number of COVID-19 cases, and critical care capacity. The Prime Minister restated his commitment to working with the City of Winnipeg and the Province of Manitoba to provide additional supports to keep people safe.

The Prime Minister and the Mayor agreed on the importance of continuing to work together on the response to COVID-19 in order to support the people of Winnipeg, and all Canadians, through the pandemic, and to move forward on a path to an economic recovery that benefits everyone.
