TORONTO, Aug. 4, 2017 /CNW/ – Radioplayer Canada, the radio streaming app that puts more than 400 radio stations in the palms of listeners, has just unveiled brand new interfaces for the Sonos home sound system, Google’s Chromecast, and Apple CarPlay.

Sonos homes in Canada can add Radioplayer Canada as a Music Service in the Sonos app, then browse the station list, see recommended, local, and trending stations, and choose on-demand catch-up programming.
“Radio has always been a vital ingredient of Sonos’ home sound system,” said Vincent, Sorge-Titmus, Country Director, Sonos. “We want listeners to enjoy every aspect of music and radio programming which is why we’re so pleased to welcome Radioplayer Canada to the Sonos home sound system.”
In addition to the Sonos integration, Radioplayer Canada also launched integration with Google’s Chromecast platform. Listeners can now ‘cast’ their favourite radio stations from the Radioplayer Canada app to a nearby TV and see a ‘live feed’ montage on the screen including album art (from music stations), recent social media posts (Facebook and Twitter), and other program information. Listeners can also use any other Chromecast enabled device, including iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Chromebook, and most Mac® and Windows® laptops.
Apple Carplay enables in-vehicle listeners to access Radioplayer Canada smartly and safely from their dashboard’s built-in display and their iPhone. Every major auto manufacturer has partnered with Apple Carplay to bring selected apps to the car, including Radioplayer Canada.
