MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Mississauga Steelheads will be hosting a Pucks N’ Paws Game for the eighth time. The can’t miss event is one of the most unique games on the calendar as dogs and their owners are welcomed to the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
On Sunday February 25th at 4:00pm the team will be hosting their annual Pucks N’ Paws game presented by Global News in support of the Toronto Humane Society. This will be the final Pucks N’ Paws game this season, with the team playing host to the Sudbury Wolves. Fans are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to take in the action.
Meteorologist at Global News Ross Hull spoke on his excitement for the event. “As dog owners know, our pooches are a big part of the family! So being able to share the experience of a Mississauga Steelheads game with Jasper and Louie is very exciting. It’s a wonderful opportunity to take in the on-ice ice excitement but also socialize with some fellow dog lovers. Despite their husky heritage, training is in progress to ensure the Canadian Bros don’t howl for the Sudbury Wolves. It’s all about barking support for the Steelheads!”
Fans and their pups can also enjoy a variety of vendors including doggy spas, rescues, humane societies, grooming and more thanks to the support of Doggos. There will also be prizes given throughout the game to keep your best friend happy. A designated bathroom area outside will also be available for your friend to relieve themselves.
There will also be a special guest joining for puck drop as reigning Stanley Cup Champion Nic Hague makes an appearance back to Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
The Steelheads want to see you and all your furry friends enjoying the game! Post a picture or video of you and your dog watching the game from your seats or enjoying the off-ice festivities and tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter @ohlsteelheads for the chance to see your face on the Steelheads accounts.
