With Dentonia Park, Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods, and Tam O’Shanter all set to welcome players, anticipation is high for another thrilling season of golfing action.
Last year saw a remarkable surge in golfing interest across Toronto, with nearly 15,000 more rounds played compared to the previous year, reaching an all-time high of over 240,000 rounds in 2023. This surge in popularity can be attributed to the outstanding quality, affordability, and accessibility of Toronto’s golf courses, each offering a unique experience tailored to golfers of all skill levels.
Tee-off times will vary throughout the season, with play starting at dawn and continuing until dusk. Tee times will be staggered 10 minutes apart throughout the day to ensure a smooth flow of play. As daylight hours extend, tee times will be adjusted accordingly to allow for uninterrupted play from dawn to dusk.
In a bid to enhance the overall golfing experience, the City of Toronto has partnered with Thistle Golf Ltd. to manage play, pro shops, as well as food and beverage services at all five City-operated golf courses.
Golfers are encouraged to book their tee times up to seven days in advance through the City’s website, ensuring they secure their preferred time slot. Rental equipment is readily available at each clubhouse for added convenience. Furthermore, at Humber Valley, golfers with mobility needs can request an accessible golf cart at no additional cost when booking their tee time.
