Toronto ON  – The Toronto Marlies delivered a commanding performance at the Coca-Cola Coliseum today, overpowering the Laval Rocket in a decisive 7-1 victory.

Right from the opening faceoff, the Marlies dictated the pace of the game. It didn’t take long for Toronto’s offense to strike, with Parker Bellows netting the first goal on a power play just 6 minutes and 39 seconds into the game. From there, the floodgates opened, with the Marlies adding three more goals in the first period alone, courtesy of Joseph Blandisi, Rasmus Hirvonen, and John Abruzzese.

Despite some attempts by Laval to regain momentum, the Marlies maintained control throughout the game. Laval managed to get on the scoreboard in the second period with a power-play goal from Heineman, but Toronto quickly responded with another goal, this time from Freddie Gambrell.

The final period saw no let-up from the Marlies as they continued to dominate. Blandisi notched his second goal of the game early on, followed by a tally from defenseman Pietroniro, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Rocket.

In the goaltending department, Toronto’s netminder, Hildeby, stood tall, turning away 30 of the 31 shots he faced, frustrating Laval’s attempts to mount a comeback.

The victory sees the Marlies further solidify their position in the standings, showcasing their depth and skill as they continue their push towards the playoffs.

With a resounding win under their belts, the Toronto Marlies look ahead to their next challenge as they aim to maintain their winning ways and continue their pursuit of championship glory.
