It was a wild past 48 hours for the Toronto Raptors.  After falling to the Boston Celtics in a close game on the road Friday, the Raptors headed to Detroit. Arriving in Detroit early Saturday morning, the team had to get some sleep and prepare for the Pistons. Add to that, the news earlier in the day that the Raptors had just traded away OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn. Needless to say, it was a tiring and emotional day for the Raptors.

After playing one of their hardest fought games this season the Toronto Raptors fell to the Detroit Pistons 127 – 129.

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are the leagues worst team. They had only won 2 games heading into tonight’s matchup and were tied with the NBAs longest losing streak at 28 games.  Their record sits at 3 – 29 on the season.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors were coming off a back to back and due to the trade made earlier in the day had a depleted lineup.

High Scorers

Pascal Siakam lead all scorers with 35 points and 5 rebounds. Dennis Schroder chipped in with 30 points and 9 assists. Scottie Barnes finished with 22 points.

Next Game

The Toronto Raptors next game is against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday January 1st 2024 at home in Toronto.
