Quickley Scores 29, but Raptors Fall to Trail Blazers 118 – 128 OT

The Toronto Raptors were in Portland to take on the Trail Blazers in NBA action on Saturday night.  The Trail Blazers who are in 2nd last place in the Western Conference had a record of 18-45 heading into the game.  The Raptors headed into this one on a 2 game losing streak with a record of 22-41.

The Raptors were without 3 of their starting players as RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl and Scottie Barnes did not play, all out with injuries.

Toronto got off to a ruff start in the first quarter and were down by 17 points at halftime. After the break they started to slowly creep back tying the game late in the 4th quarter and forcing overtime. Unfortunately for the Raptors they could not complete the comeback and fell to the Trail Blazers in the overtime period 118 – 128.

High Scorers

The high scorer for all teams was Deandre Ayton of the Portland Trail Blazers scoring 30 points with 19 rebounds. The high scorer for the Toronto Raptors was Immanuel Quickley, scoring 29 points with 7 assists.
