Conservatives leader candidates held their first official English language leadership debate on Wednesday in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Candidates are Leslyn Lewis, Roman Baber, Jean Charest, Scott Aitchison, Patrick Brown and Pierre Poilievre.

All of then are fighting to be the leader of the Conservative party and for a chance to face Justin Trudeau head to head in the next federal election which will probably be in 2025.

In the meantime conservative members will go to the ballot box in September to vote on who they want their new leader to be.
