Fiorentina Restaurant Brings Farm to Table to the Danforth With Morning and Afternoon Dining Experiences for Summer

TORONTOJuly 6, 2017 /CNW/ – Toronto’s Fiorentina Restaurant is announcing a major morning rush hour and afternoon cocktail hour expansion off the heels of its move to a new, larger location at 463 Danforth Avenue in early 2017. The changes are inspired by the commitment of chefs and owners Alex Chong and Tina Leckie to reignite excitement for diners on the Danforth food scene with local, sustainable food. The husband-and-wife team have been committed to thoughtful, local cuisine since they launched the restaurant in 2011, even taking on the City of Toronto in their fight to continue to use fresh, local heritage eggs. Fiorentina will also launch a new monthly event series this July.

“Our expansion is inspired by demand from our local clientele,” said chef Alex Chong. “What we offer is simply not available in our neighbourhood, and eager diners are having to travel to enjoy things like fresh-made sourdough bread, and a glass of wine and house-made charcuterie after work with friends. We’ve brought this home to the Danforth neighbourhood for them, adding to our popular brunch menu, lunch service, and rotating weekly dinner menus focused on the very best ingredients from farmers, foragers, fishers and local artisans.”
