TORONTOAug. 15, 2017 /CNW/ – Chase Hospitality Group announced today the company’s latest plant-based restaurant concept, Planta Burger, is launching in Toronto’s financial district, Tuesday, September 5, 2017. The new gourmet food, quick service destination opens in the space currently housed by Little Fin, scheduled to close for renovations on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in the historic Dineen Building at 4 Temperance Street.

A spin-off of Planta’s Yorkville location, the menu is a collaboration between chef David Lee and Chase Hospitality Group culinary director Tyler Shedden, with an emphasis on high quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. Planta Burger follows Chase Hospitality Group’s mission of delivering delicious food while minimizing the environmental footprint, at every price point.

Planta Burger reflects Chase Hospitality Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainable, environmentally responsible ingredients,” said Steven Salm, president, Chase Hospitality Group. We are dedicated to offering quick service at an affordable price point, and based on the rave reviews of Planta’s burger, having fun with a spin-off was the obvious answer.

The menu features two perfectly seasoned nut free and gluten free patty options: the mushroom black bean, lentil and beet patty, is topped with avocado and garlic aioli for The California ($10) and with queso, mushroom bacon and a pickle for The Classic ($10). The Crab Cake ($10) patty is made with heart of palm and celeriac, and topped with lettuce and tartar.

A play on classic diner offerings, the selection of sides includes fries, onion rings, tots, and buffalo cauliflower. Pair with a Caeser or chopped salad and top it all off with a classic milkshake or Rootbeer float.

An emphasis on take-out and catering, the restaurant offers a casual dine-in experience, with barstool seating for 14 inside, and 25 on the patio. The design takes its cues from Planta in Yorkville.

Planta Burger is open six days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information visit: chasehg.com.
