TORONTO — Today, Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark Orthodox Easter:
“Today, Orthodox Christians in Ontario and around the world celebrate Easter.
The holiest day in the Orthodox Christian faith, Easter is an opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the triumph of good over evil. Many will gather with their families and communities to attend a Divine Liturgy, decorate eggs and break the fasting of the Great Lent with delicious food and rich cultural traditions.
On behalf of my family and our government, I wish everyone in the Orthodox Christian community a joyous and blessed Easter!”
