Speed Skating Ottawa's Ivanie Blondin claims Olympic silver in speed skating mass start

Canada added ONE silver medal to their tally on Saturday. It’s hard to believe that the flame will go out onthe Olympics tomorrow evening in Beijing and the 2022 Winter Olympics will come to a close….for now, Canada has 25 medals and still sits in THIRD place on the Country Leader Board.

Here is a RECAP of Saturday at the Olympics for Canada!

***Speed skater Ivanie Blondin from Ottawa won the SILVER medal in the Women’s Mass Start Speed Skating Event. This is the second time she reached the podium in Beijing. She previously was part of the Team Pursuit Gold, earlier this week.

TAKE A LOOK:


Kristen Bujnowski
, and Christine de Bruin (who won the Monobob Bronze earlier this week) were Canada’s best medal hopes in the Two-Woman Bobsleigh Competition.  They began their runs on Saturday in Fourth place.  Although being so close to the podium some disappointing runs landed the ladies in FIFTH place overall when all was said and done.

TAKE A LOOK:

Canada has one more chance of a medal on Sunday when the Four-Man Bobsleigh Competition finishes off on Sunday.  The four-man crew piloted by Justin Kripps sits in third place halfway through the competition! Tune in tonight to see what happens!
