Team Toronto has hit a new milestone in its vaccination efforts, with more than 1.5 million Toronto residents having now received their third dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Continuing vaccination efforts have resulted in 91.3 per cent of eligible Toronto residents age 12 and older having received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and more than 88.5 per cent having received two doses. As of Thursday, 63.5 per cent of eligible residents have received their third dose.

A new hyper-local, equity-focused strategy aimed at improving vaccination uptake in 30 communities that continue to experience hesitancy and barriers to vaccination began earlier this week. This includes an increased number of mobile and Shop and Vax clinics across the city in places where residents live, work and play, including:

•       North York Sheridan Mall, 2202 Jane St., Unit 5, next to the Walmart (Friday, February 25 from 5 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
•       Lawrence Allen Centre, 700 Lawrence Ave. W. (Saturday, February 26, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
•       Stockyards, 1980 St. Clair Ave. W. (Saturday, February 26, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
•       Yonge Sheppard Centre, 2 Sheppard Ave. E. (Saturday, February 26, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
•       Yorkgate Mall, 1 Yorkgate Blvd., upstairs by the Dollarama (Saturday, February 26, noon to 6 p.m.)

Clinics will accept walk-ins for first, second, third and paediatric doses. Find a clinic using the Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics in Toronto tool: https://sites.google.com/mobilevaccinationteams.com/torontovaccination/home.

COVID-19 vaccines continue to be available through hospital partner clinics, primary care offices and over 525 pharmacies across the city. All five City-run clinics also continue to offer first, second, third and paediatric doses – by walk-in or appointment – including third doses for residents age 12 to 17. Appointments can be booked online on the provincial booking system (https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/) or by calling 1-833-943-3900.

Toronto Public Health (TPH) continues to urge all residents to get their first, second and third dose, if eligible, and if they have not already done so. COVID-19 vaccines have been scientifically proven to lower the risk of illness, hospitalization and death while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community. Recent TPH data shows that residents with three doses had the lowest rates of hospitalization, ICU and death over any other level of vaccination.
