Sloane Avenue to Kennedy Road

Construction Works at Kennedy Station and At-Grade Eastern Alignment
(Ionview, Birchmount, Golden Mile, Hakimi-Lebovic, Pharmacy, O’Connor, and Sloane Stops)


Preparatory works continue in the vicinity of Kennedy Station and along Eglinton Avenue East. Here is an overview of current and upcoming works:

  • Crews continue to carry out Geotechnical Works around Kennedy Station and along Eglinton Avenue East between Rosemount Drive and Midland Avenue.
  • Crews are conducting Subsurface Utility Engineering Investigations along Eglinton Avenue East between Leslie Street and Midland Avenue for approximately three weeks.
    • Work will begin Monday near the intersection of Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
  • The crews are crushing the foundations of the Tikka Hut building and the former Canada Post building. Watch the video of the crusher plant at work.
  • Enbridge works are occurring on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East between Kennedy Road and Ionview Road. For more information, please contact Enbridge at 416-753-6261.
  • In the coming weeks, crews will begin doing Telecommunication Utilities Relocations between Birchmount Road and Treverton Drive.
  • As early as late March, crews will begin occupancy of the Victoria Park – Eglinton Parkette, which includes doing some tree removal. See the construction notice online for more details.

Did You Know?
There will be four entrances at Kennedy Station, the most of all the stations along the LRT line.

The main entrance will be located at the southwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Transway Crescent. The secondary entrance will be Integrated with the new GO Transit ticketing building. The third will be at the existing TTC south entrance, while the fourth will be the existing GO Transit south entrance. All the entrances will be accessible.

There will be station plazas outside all but the fourth station entrance. Retail spaces will be located on the concourse level, within both the fare-paid and non-fare paid zones.

There will be 40 outdoor and 80 indoor bicycle parking spaces.
