Construction Works at Kennedy Station and Eastern Surface Section (Ionview, Birchmount, Golden Mile, Hakimi-Lebovic, Pharmacy, O’Connor, and Sloane Stops)
Preparatory works continue in the vicinity of Kennedy Station and along Eglinton Avenue East. Here is an overview of current and upcoming works:
Crews continue to carry out ongoing Preparatory Works and Street Furniture Removal along Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe Road and Midland Avenue. This includes another round of Geotechnical Work in the properties around the existing TTC Kennedy Station.
Parking Reductions at Kennedy Station A reduction of parking spaces in existing Kennedy Station parking lots is required to support the construction of the future Kennedy Station infrastructure.
The parking spaces will be occupied for work zones and construction laydown areas to facilitate a variety of construction stages for the duration of the project.
Over the next four years, parking spaces will be gradually taken as they are required.
Phase 1 Parking Reductions As Early As May 2017 (timelines are subject to change)
The North Parking Lot will be closed.
There will be reduced parking at the East Parking Lot and South Parking Lot.
Signage will be in place onsite to advise of parking reductions at the applicable lots.
