Baskin-Robbins launches new flavour, Gingerbread House, and oh-so-edible Brrr Snowman Cake

Toronto, December 7, 2021 – Baskin-Robbins is intent on adding to the fun and festive spirit of the season this December with the launch of two new menu items. Renowned for its already varied list of flavours, the ice cream chain launches Gingerbread House as its December Flavour of the Month, as well as a cake, Brrr Snowman Cake, that is sure to have guests smiling and frolicking in the kind of “snow” that won’t turn into slush and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.

“An edible snowman?” says Anna Colacchio, an operations manager at Baskin-Robbins in Canada for the past 33 years. “That was my initial reaction when I heard about this. I’ve enjoyed fun and innovative cake designs over the years, like our increasingly popular Turkey cake and our adorable Unicorn designs, but this one takes the cake!”

Featuring gingerbread pieces, crushed peppermint and a frosting ribbon, Gingerbread House is sure to have Canadians regain a sense of appreciation for the role of the gingerbread house in Christmas folklore. The brand’s newest Brrr Snowman Cake comes with “melting snow” icing, which literally tops off the traditional carrot nosed, button eyed snowman that is adorned with an upside-down ice cream cone and red edible scarf icing.

Freshly created for holiday tables, Baskin-Robbins’ Brrr Snowman Cake comes complete with a button-nose and two eyes made out of Chocolate. The new cake compliments the brand’s December 2021 Flavour of the Month, Gingerbread House.

“Decking the halls is nice, but so is decorating the dinner table, especially with treats,” says Natalie Joseph, Baskin-Robbins Canada representative. “We usually see snowmen and gingerbread houses all around town or on TV. This year, it’s nice to know we’ll be bringing them home for our own enjoyment around the dinner table.”

Throughout the pandemic, Baskin-Robbins Canada’s 106 shops have continued to serve their guests, including through delivery and takeout, while respecting provincial COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Please refer to the company’s store locator for hours of operation and service/delivery options in your community.
