Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will embark on an official visit to Montréal, Quebec, and Toronto, Ontario, on March 24 and 25, 2024. The visit aims to bolster the longstanding friendship and partnership between the two nations, both of which are NATO Allies.

During the visit, Prime Ministers Trudeau and Mitsotakis will focus on deepening cooperation across various shared interests, including trade, investment, climate action, and job creation for the middle class. Additionally, discussions will center on addressing critical regional and global challenges, such as supporting Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia, upholding the rules-based international order, and advancing democracy worldwide.

Prime Minister Trudeau expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming visit, emphasizing the positive outcomes that collaboration between Canada and Greece can yield for their citizens.

This will mark Prime Minister Mitsotakis’ inaugural official visit to Canada since assuming office in 2019.
