Team Toronto COVID-19 vaccination update

The City of Toronto is working non-stop with its healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 3,474,244 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto as part of the overall Team Toronto initiative. As of yesterday evening, approximately 822,251 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-operated clinic.

Everyone age 12 years or older is encouraged to book their vaccination appointment as soon as possible. Second dose appointments can be booked by anyone, including youth age 12 to 17, who received a first Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 28 days ago or a first AstraZeneca vaccine at least eight weeks ago. Vaccinations at City clinics are by appointment only and walk-in clients cannot be accommodated. Anyone who cannot attend a scheduled appointment is urged to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible to allow others to book. Appointments at City-run clinics can be cancelled or changed at https://vaccine.covaxonbooking.ca/manage or by calling the provincial booking line.

The Team Toronto effort is focused on getting as many residents vaccinated as quickly as possible based on available supply. It is also expanding mobile vaccination efforts across Toronto to bring vaccines to the neighbourhoods most in need.

Today, a Team Toronto Mobile Sprint Strategy partner will vaccinate people at the following pop-up clinic:

• David and Mary Thomson CI (M1P) – Anyone 12 years and older (first dose) living or working in Scarborough; Anyone 18 years and older (second dose) who lives in a high-risk Scarborough neighborhood

The City and healthcare partners are working to operate a total of approximately 25 clinics today, including mobile teams, on-site and pop-up clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework.

City of Toronto immunization clinics
• Today, will vaccinate up to 17,725 eligible residents across nine City-operated immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre, Mitchell Field Arena, The Hangar, Cloverdale Mall, North Toronto Memorial Community Centre and Carmine Stefano Community Centre.
Unity Health Toronto, Downtown East Toronto OHT and West Toronto OHT
• Yesterday, held three on-site clinics, two mobile clinics, and six pop-up clinics.
• Vaccinated people who are hospital and community-based healthcare workers, homebound adults, Indigenous peoples, individuals age 12 years and older, and those eligible for a second dose.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics, two mobile clinics and three pop-up clinics.
• Will vaccinate people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network
• Yesterday, held three on-site clinics, and two mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 2,896 people who are healthcare workers and students, long-term care staff, essential caregivers, patients with priority health conditions, Indigenous peoples, and people age 12 years and older.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners
• Yesterday, held two primary care clinics, one pop-up clinic, and two mobile clinics.
• Today, will hold one mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate people age 12 years and older.

• Yesterday, held one pop-up clinic, and one mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 2,400 people who are age 12 years and older and seniors receiving first and second doses.
• Today, will hold one pop-up clinic.
• Will vaccinate 1,500 people belonging to the same groups.

• Yesterday, held five on-site clinics and two mobile clinics.
• Vaccinated 4,363 people who are age 12 years and older who live or work in Scarborough and who live in congregate settings.
• Today, will hold five on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 4,300 people belonging to the same groups above.

CAMH
• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
• Vaccinated 360 people who are 12 years and older with a first dose, people who are 70 years and older with a second dose, as well as those who received their first dose before May 9 with a second dose.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
• Will vaccinate 227 people belonging to the same groups.
