We have been informed that the former Liberal MP, a First Nation person who was made the Attorney General and justice Minister by Trudeau will now run as an Independent candidate. We had been led to believe that fences were mended after the Ethics Commissioner had ruled that PM Trudeau had breached ethics rules. We reported accordingly. Things have remained the same. We were misled
We strive for the highest ethical standards and accuracy. It would never be our intention to mislead. Should this be the case we use this medium to correct same.
PM Justin Trudeau said he was trying to protect jobs at SNC Lavalin in Quebec and Ontario. As PM he said it was ” his job as PM to create and protect jobs”. It was not found that he broke the law when the Cabinet office and the Privy Council tried to get the Justice Minister to waiver or defer any prosecution of SNC which would disqualify them from future contracts and ultimately affect jobs negatively. The RCMP has been asked to investigate.
The Ethics Commissioner saw it differently and Jody Wilson-Raybould saw this approach to get her on board as an attempt to try to ask her to break the law. She felt her professional integrity was being invaded and undermined.
We wish Mrs Jody-Wilson Raybould all the best as an Independent. Jody felt she was supported by the Ethics Commissioner’s ruling. We hope she is right. It would have been good if these political combatants could mend fences going into a General election. It is for them to work things out. We are mere spectators.
We felt that an apology from PM Trudeau would have healed any wounds between the parties … especially Jody Wilson-Raybould. What is your perspective? This is ours. Feel free to disagree.
