Ontario Announces Excellence in Agriculture Honourable Mention Recipient

The Excellence in Agriculture Awards recognize agri-food businesses, individuals and organizations that have raised the bar for agri-food excellence, demonstrated leadership in their field, undertaken strategic product development benefiting their sector, or advanced technological innovation. Today, six honourable mentions are being recognized across the province for their contributions to Ontario’s agri-food sector.

The new SoilOptix technology is:

• More productive and efficient as it provides soil test results at 355 data points per acre versus the conventional one to two tests per acre. This helps farmers make the best decisions and helps them with soil stewardship.
• Less invasive versus conventional processes (grid sampling) that are highly intensive, resulting in improved soil conservation.

What I really like about their innovation is their contribution to the whole industry to increase productivity and environmental practices.”
